In 2017, the Society for Dance Research celebrates its 35th year anniversary.
As part of the Legacy 35 Project we have launched an online campaign to collect stories and memories from the society’s 35-year history, and we are looking for contributions and anecdotes! So if you have been a part of the society either currently or previously, or have attended any events in the past 35 years, please share your stories with us by:
- Posting on social media (Facebook or Twitter) using the hashtag #SDRLegacy35;
- Come visit our table at Dance Fields 2017 from Thursday 20th – Saturday 22nd April 2017 to write in our book, or leave a short video or audio recording;
- You can also send an email to Legacy 35 Project manager Iris Chan.
The society also commissioned filmmaker Rosa Cisneros to document a conversation between one of SDR’s founding members Dr Richard Ralph, and Jane Pritchard, long-term society member. The film will have its first public screening at Dance Fields on Friday 21st April 2017 and will be made available online after.
